It is effing cold out there this week people! wow

, is it ever cold. Luckily i'm just returning from a ski trip in quebec, so its allll good!

So today was eventful, we had an orientation session to our 'optional' obligation ceremony for the iron ring thing...'optional'???! as if its really an option. Who would hire someone that wants to be an engineer but declined to take an oath that they will protect the public and be honest? crazy people...

I spent all of 5 hours today with my design group (dave, danielle and brent) I did the wind loads on the building, good times! We're thiiiiiis close to actually STARTING the design...we're never going to finish!

I went to my friend Andrew's tonight after I re-heated my dinner and we finished the highway assignment that is due next week...good times!! Apparently there's this one question that asks how to redesign the road because there's a bunch of different crashes...but in each case it turned out the people were just shitty drivers!! great...thanks for that amazing peice of useful assignment professor...just amazing...

Which leads me to my next point. I have no money, yet I've paid the university over 7 thousand dollars for my tuition this year, and what do they do with it? They've got like 100 flat screen tv's in the cafeteria, and these special lights that refract on the wall to make a knife and fork. Whats wrong with posters? why do you need the super-expensive light? I can just look around the school and see - there's my tuition - there's my tuition - there's my tuition. Meanwhile i'm eating rice noodles with a can of green beans on top! honestly!!!!

But thats besides the point. The point of my life right now is to find a job after graduation. I need a job, really people, give me a job to do!! (although it has to be the right one...i've been a little picky for awhile now...)
